Holtz, Wilhelmina (25 Nov 1837 - 27 Apr 1913)

Mrs. Wilhelmina Holtz died at the home of her son Herman in this city (Neillsville, Clark County) Sunday evening, April 27, 1913, aged 75 years, 5 months and 2 days. Deceased was born in Germany. There she grew to womanhood and was married to Julius Holtz. They came to American twenty-seven years ago and settled at Janesville, Wis., later moving to Washburn. Seventeen years ago her husband died and she came to make her home with her son Herman. She leaves one son William and a daughter, Mrs. Krueger, in Germany, a son Gustav in the town of Grant, August in Waushara Co., Ferdinand in Oshkosh and Herman in Neillsville, and a daughter, Mrs. Martha Goldfuss in Defiance, Ohio, also a number of grandchildren, to mourn her death. She was a woman of excellent qualities and well liked by all who knew her.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Schmid of the German Reformed Congregation preaching the funeral sermon.

Wilhelmina was my great grandmother. Grandfather was August H. Holtz (1867-1944),have census/located most of his siblings,except for Mrs. Krueger,and Wilhelm Holtz. Need info re: siblings of Julius and Wilhelmina Holtz(Holz). and death date/place of Julius (husband of Wilhelmina). Many of above,except for Julius reside & are listed in the pineValley/Neillsville cemetary. Thanks for posting Obit. Jane Rasmussen
