Christmas, Frank E. (2 Jan 1869 - 5 Apr 1914)

Frank E. Christmas was born in Lansing, Mich. Jan. 2, 1869.

When he was five years old his parents moved to Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. The rest of his life he made his home in the vicinity of Neillsville. He was married to Effie Shupe in 1891. To them were born three children. After her death he was married to Tillie Schmidt in 1898. They had no children.

Much of his time was spent in farming until the past few years, when he worked at construction work. The past four years he has been in the employ of J.I. Swigart, contractor. They were employed in making a large ditch for the city of Hibbing, Minn., when he met his death, April 5, 1914. He was on his way to his camp when his car was struck by a Northern Pacific engine.

By means of his sunny disposition, kindness and fair dealings he made hosts of friends wherever he went. He leaves to survive him his wife, two sons, Lee of Milton Jct., Glen of Hibbing, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. A. Winters of Columbia, three grandchildren, father, mother and two sisters and three brothers.

Those who came from away to attend the funeral were Lee Christmas, Milton Jct., Wis.; Glen Christmas, Hibbing, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. J. Christmas of Greenwood, Wis.; Mr. Spaniels of Marshall, Minn.; Eva Christmas, Hecia, S.D.; Mr. Truesdell, Turkey River, Iowa and J.L. Swigart of Milwaukee, Wis.
