Hinkleman, Alvina J. (2 Feb 1864 - 16 Apr 1922)

Mrs. Julius Hinkleman died at her home on Sunday evening, April 16th, 1922, following an illness of about a year, aged 58 years, 2 months, 14 days. Alvina Juliana Birr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Birr, was born Feb. 2, 1864, in Pommern, Germany. When two years of age she came to this country with her parents, coming direct to Watertown, Wis.

On Nov. 29th, 1887, she was married to Mr. Julius Hinkleman, moving north of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. about twelve years ago, where they have since resided.

Five children were born to this union, who besides the husband, survive her. The children are as follows: Herman Hinkleman, Mrs. Carl Schoengriend, Ernest, Clara and Lydia at home.

She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, besides other relatives and a large number of friends..

Mrs. Hinkleman was of a quiet and home loving nature and respected by everyone so that she will be sadly missed by relatives and neighbors in the community where she lived.

The funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. E. Kemena officiating. She was laid to rest in the Union Cemetery.
