Budge, Jessie (1855 - 3 Sept. 1922)

Mrs. Jessie Budge died at Morristown, New Jersey, Sunday, Sept. 3, aged 67 years. Mrs. Budge was born in Scotland, grew to womanhood there and was married to Andrew L. Budge. They came to this country with their three children in 1882 and settled in the town of York. There her husband died in 1888. Soon after she returned to Scotland and remained two years, coming back again to New York City, living there and at Morristown, N. J. , the country home of the family with whom she lived, until her death. Her three children survive her, William P. Budge and Mrs. Jennie Flynn in Minneapolis and George A. Budge in Eau Claire.

Deceased will be remembered by many of the older people in the east park of York and around Granton. They body was brought here for burial. The funeral will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon in the Union church at Granton, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating. Burial will talk place in Windfall cemetery.
