Dankemyer, Donald (17 Jan. 1921 - 12 Dec. 1922)

Donald, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer of the town of Fremont died at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield Tuesday afternoon Dec. 12, 1922. He was sick with bronchitis about five weeks previous to his death, but had apparently recovered when he was suddenly taken with plura hemorrhagica from which he died. Donald was born Jan. 17, 1921, and was therefore within a month of two years old. He was the youngest of the family and just at the age when his hold on the affections of the parents and older children were strongest. No words can tell of the sorrow that the death of this little boy has brought to the home and the deepest sympathy is felt for those who mourn, by al in the community.

There are left to mourn Donald’s death, the father, mother, a brother Gerald, age 11, two sisters, Natalie aged nine and Dorothy six.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the home, Rev. Koch officiating. The pall bearers were Willie Dankemyer, Carl Hankey, Arliegh Davis and Irvine Hopp. The flower girls were Wanda Dankemyer and Dorothy Hankey. Burial took place in Yolo Cemetery.
