Gustav Filitz died last Saturday at the home of his brother, Otto, south of the town. He was born in Germany and at the time of his death was 71 years and 5 days of age. He was a bachelor and had made his home with his brother for a number of years. He was a kindly man and had made friends who deeply regret his death. The funeral was held on Tuesday, services being conducted at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at the German Reformed church.
