Carlson, Severina (4 Nov. 1847 - ? April 1923)

Severina Johnson was born Nov. 4, 1847 at Christianson, Norway. She was married to Hans Carlson in 1870, and came with him to this country in 1883. They came directly to Neillsville, and built the house which was her home the rest of her life.

Of the seven children Karl, Maria, Hans and Julia were born in Norway, Lucy, Tom and Jennie in this country. Four of the children are still living, Karl of Chicago, Mrs. Thornton Gates of this city, Tom of New York City, and Mrs. Guy Jones of Chicago. She also leaves seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren for several of who she has made a home.

Until she was taken with pneumonia several weeks ago she was strong and healthy, rarely even in the stormiest weather failing to walk down town.

The funeral services was held at the home on Sunday, April 15th, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
