-Lee, Mr. /Mrs. N. E. (aka Ell Lee) (26 March 1923, 50th Wedding Anniversary)

On Monday afternoon of this week there was a happy gathering of friends and relatives at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ell Lee of Granton to celebrate in a quiet way the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding.

N. E. Lee (or Ell Lee as he is best known) and Miss Ella Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Allen were married March 26, 1873. They have lived their entire married life at what is now Granton. They developed a find farm and prospered well as pioneer farmers, by honest work and persistent industry. They are still enjoying a fair degree of health and strength and join with interest the activities of the community. They have two sons, Price who lives on the home farm and Rollie who is in the state of Washington; and one daughter, Mrs. L. G. Morris of Delafield. Those present at the home Monday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Solon Davis, Mr. and Mrs. John Pietenpol, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Pietenpol, Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Beecher, Mr. and Mrs. John Breese, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis and daughter Frances, Mr. and Mrs. Price Lee, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Spry and daughter Nelva, T. D. Wage, F. W. Davis, Mrs. Laura Mason, Mrs. Lib Fuller, T. F. Lee, and Harland Kintzele. A fine lunch was served and a purse made up as a gift for the "bride and groom". All hope that many happy years are yet to come to them.
