-Windover, Hiram (13 Aug. 1838 - 21 May 1923)

Hiram Windover, well knew aged resident of this city, died at his home corner Clay and Shelton streets, May 21st, after an illness of a month with erysipelas. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Chapman & Henkle Chapel, conducted by Rev. Frank James. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mr. Windover was born at Northumberland, Canada, August 13, 1838. He came to Oregon in April 1902, and settled in Polk County. For a number of years he farmed near Polk Station, but for the past few years had resided in Dallas. He is survived by his son, A. L. Windover, with whom he made his home; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
