Cook, Carol L. (20 August 1983)

Coming before the Rev. Kenneth B. Barnes in United Methodist Church, Spencer, to be married during a ceremony August 20 were Miss Carol L. Cook, 204 W. 14th St, Daughter of Mrs. Linda Cook, Route 1, Spencer, and the late Charles Cook, and Brons W. Ness. Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donal Ness of Wisconsin Rapids.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Harvey Cook, during rites for which nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Carol Talley, musician and Mrs. Karin Hansen, soloist.

The bride had a white qiana knit gown with sweep train and a fingertip veil. With it she had a wreath of white rosebuds and a silk bouquet of white roses.

Miss Alice Adams of Marshfield was maid of honor; Mrs. Marjorie Diers, Spencer, matron of honor; and Mrs. Jane Wroblewski of St. Anthony, Minnesota, and Mrs. Carrie Draeger, Arpin, as brides-matrons. They had emerald or mint green qiana knit formals with sheer floral jackets and each aide had a silk floral arrangement to match her ensemble.

Bart Ness of Wisconsin Rapids was best man. Groomsmen were Tony Kaeppe of Minneapolis, Robert Cook of Chicago and John Luedtke, Minneapolis, and ushering were Thomas Orluck, Minneapolis, and Scott Cook, Spencer.

The reception, dinner and dance were at SouthEdge Lounge here. After a week's Texas honeymoon, the Nesses will live at 2904 Northway Drive in Brooklyn Center Minnesota, where the bridegroom has been living.

The bride, a 1978 Spencer High School graduate, received an associate of arts degree in 1980 from the University of Wisconsin Center, Marshfield-Wood County, and has been an accounts payable clerk for Felker Brothers of Marshfield before her marriage.

Her husband, who graduated in 1979 from Neillsville High School and also attended the UW-LaCrosse, works for Longview Fibre Co., Minnesota.
