Sanger, Leona (21 SEP 1927)

Mr. Ernest Pushek and Miss Leona Sanger, both of the town of Fremont, Clark County, Wis., were united in marriage on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 21, 1927, at Fremont Lutheran Church, Rev. Ploetz officiating. They were attended by Halvor Eide and Herbert Sternitzky as groomsmen, and Miss Alma Pushek, sister of the groom and Miss Ella Sanger, sister of the bride, who were the bridesmaids. Miss Hilda Beil played the wedding march. The double ring ceremony was used.

The bride wore a beautiful dress of white georgette and carried a shower bouquet of roses. Miss Mable Pushek was dressed in pale green crepe de chine and Miss Ella Sanger in peach colored crepe de chine.

After he ceremony there was a sumptuous supper served at six o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sanger. Although only relatives and near friends of the bride and groom were present, there were about 180 guests. The rooms were decorated in pink and white and a beautiful white wedding bell.

At the supper, the table waitresses were Misses Dorothy and Mable Portz, Marcella Johnson, Vera Schlinsog and Hilda Beil, and they performed their duties in a most admirable manner.

The bride was born and brought up in the town of Fremont, completed the course in country school, attended Granton High School one years and then entered McKinley High School in Marshfield, where she graduated last June. She is a young lady of culture and refinement and has a large circle of friends in her home community and among the students where she attended school.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Pushek and he too has lived all his life in the town of Fremont, and has been a faithful and efficient helper on the home farm, where the young couple will make their home. The Press joins their many other friends in best wishes.
