Ziebell, Clarence (2 Sept. 1904 - 4 March 1926)

Clarence Ziebel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ziebell, died at ST. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield early Thursday morning, March 4, aged 21 years, 6 months and 2 days. He had been ill for over a year, suffering from a severe pain in the back of his head extending down to his shoulders. Repeated examinations failed to disclose fully what his trouble was, but it is believed that an abscess had formed on the brain, which failed to respond to any treatment. He suffered intensely at the last.

Clarence Ziebell was born in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, September 2, 1904. He came to Neillsville with his parents when he was a year old and has lived here ever since. He passed through the grades and two years in Neillsville High School. He was a good student and took an active and successful part in athletics. At the close of his school work he took up carpentering with his father and was a very competent and faithful worker. He was a young man of excellent qualities and well like by all who knew him. His death is a sad blow to his parents, as he was their only child at home with them.

Besides his parents he leaves one brother, Norman Ziebell of Brainard, Minnesota, and one sister, Mrs. Irwin Gilbertson of Black River Falls both of whom came to attend the funeral, which was held at the M. E. Church, Sunday afternoon, Rev. S. J. Lambright officiating.
