The congregation of New Home Christian Assembly, Greenwood, has a new pastor, the Rev. Mark Ortman.

Ortman is a 1982 graduate of North Central Bible College, receiving a B.S. degree in pastoral studies. He served his internship with the Church of the Bible in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and also at his home church, Pipestone Assembly of God, Pipestone, Minnesota.

During his sophomore year in college, he traveled with a gospel singing group and has been involved in other areas of ministry, such as camp counseling and children's ministries.

His wife, Ruth, is a 1981 graduate of South Dakota State University, attaining a B.S. degree in home economics. She taught a year at St. Mary's Parochial School in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, and worked at Dayton's Minneapolis.

The Ortman's are living in Greenwood at 209 S. Main St.
