Hohenstein, Sadie (Marriage - 23 June 1926)

Mr. Paul Bernal Kirsteatter and Miss Sadie Hohenstein were united in marriage on Wednesday, June 23, at 10:30 a.m., at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hohenstein Jr. on South Grand Avenue. Rev. S. J. Lambright performed the ceremony. They were attended by the bride’s brother, Arthur Hohenstein and his wife.

The bride was given away by her father. She was becomingly dressed in white georgette.

The room was tastily arranged, an arch decorated with yellow roses, pink and white paper bells and ferns, occupying one corner.

The bride graduated from Neillsville high school in the class of 1920 and since then has taught with great success in the rural school of this county. She is a young lady of fine ideals and has a large circle of sincere friends, both in this city and in school districts where she has taught. The groom is almost a stranger here, but is highly regarded by all who know him. His home is at La Salle, Illinois, where he has a good position as a machine operator in the Western Clock Works. They will make their home at La Salle.

After the ceremony the guests, about 70 in number, were served a bountiful wedding dinner.

Those from away who attended the wedding were Mrs. Elizabeth Kirsteatter, Mrs. Anna Strout, Mr. Raymond Strout, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kirsteatter and Misses Mildred and Dorothy Kirsteatter all from Illinois.

The young couple will tour in Oklahoma before settling down in the their new home at La Salle.
