Borowick, Peter Sr. (1844? - 30 Jul 1921)

Peter Borowick Sr., aged seventy seven years, was killed about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday last while crossing Main St. (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) in the middle of the block in front of his place of business. Deceased was struck by a Ford automobile driven by John Shilts, a town of Worden farmer. The machine was moving very slowly eye witnesses say, and is very evident Mr. Borowick failed to hear or see its approach and was struck by a fender, throwing him to the pavement and crashing his skull. His death followed a few minutes later. Mr. Borowick was born in Pland and has resided here about twenty years. His wife passed away some ten years ago. He leaves two sons and three daughters. The funeral took place on Tuesday morning from St. Hedwig's Church, Father Kulig officiating.
