Nickish, Viola (16 JUN 1926)

A very pretty wedding took place at the Blessed Sacrament Church at St. Paul, Minn., on Wednesday, June 16th, 1926, at 8 o'clock a.m., when Miss Viola Nickish became the bride of John Vanderyst.

The bride wore a gown of white flat crepe trimmed in lace and carried a shower bouquet of butterfly roses, baby breath and sweet alyssums. Her tulle veil was made in cap effect, being caught at each side with a cluster of orange blossoms. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Elsie Nickisch, who wore a gown of egg blue crepe trimmed in gold lace and carried a bouquet of Premier roses. The groom was attended by his brother, Peter Vanderyst. Eileen Morrison and Irene Freeman were flower girls. Each carried baskets of pink snapdragons.

After the ceremony a wedding breakfast and dinner were served to relatives and friends at the groom's home on 1837 Reaney St. The bride received many beautiful gifts. The young couple have the good wishes of a host of friends.

The out of town guests were Mrs. J. Freeman and daughter, Ortonville, Minn., Art Nickisch, Bismarck, N.D., Mr. and Mrs. John Tepp, Jr., Stevens Point, Misses Viola and Loretta Heiting, Stanley, Wis. The groom was a former resident of Stanley, Wis.
