Heart Attack Fatal to Longwood Farmer

Andrew J. Krarup, Sr., died at his home in the township of Longwood early Saturday morning and his death came as a complete surprise to his family and friends. Shortly after Thanksgiving he began to fail in health and was troubled with heart attacks almost daily, but at no time was he confined to his bed. Saturday morning he arose shortly before five-thirty o'clock and was near the kitchen stove when his wife heard his body fall against the floor. She immediately went to his aid but he had passed away.

Mr. Krarup came to Owen thirty two years ago from Cedar Falls, Ia. and purchased a farm in thw township on Longwood where he has since resided. At that time there were no roads to his land and his supplies were carried to his home. He was the owner of a fine farm which he developed and was considered one of the successful farmers of the community. At the time of his death he was seventy-one years and eight months of age.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, a short prayer being held at the home at 1:30 and at 2:00 o'clock services were held at the Danish Lutheran church at Withee, of which he was a member and his body laid to rest in the church cemetery. Rev. Mikklesen, pastor of the church, officiating.

He leaves to mourn besides his aged wife, two sons, Andrew and Peter, both of whom live near their father's farm and one daughter, Mrs. Jens Andersen, a resident of the town of Hixon.
