ERNEST RATSCH STRICKEN AT HOME OF SON IN EAST

Ernest Ratsch, who formerly lived in Neillsville, and in recent years with his son, Arthur, in Westfield, N. Y., died Monday in that city after a long illness, according to word reaching here Tuesday. The funeral will be held in Neillsville Friday from the Zion Reformed Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Edwin Vornholt conducting the services.

Mr. Ratsch for years ran a farm east of Neillsville and there raised a family of six daughters and one son. He was a quiet, conscientious citizen and took pride in his community and enjoyed the respect and admiration of all those who came in contact with him.

He is survived by the following children: Arthur Ratsch, Westfield, N. Y.; Mrs. William Foemmel of Neillsville; Mrs. William Scharf, Lynn; Mrs. Theo. Ziegler and Mrs. S. Ziegler, living near Tioga; Miss Anna Ratsch of Chicago and Mrs. Louise Wiltgen of Westfield, N. Y.
