Schaller, Josephine (25 Apr 1857 - 5 Dec 1924)

Mrs. Josephine Schaller, wife of George Schaller, was laid to rest on Monday, Dec 8th. She was born as the daughter of John and Rosetta Gibson at Grave Prairie, Dodge Co., Wis., April 25, 1857, and was united in marriage to George Schaller Nov. 18, 1890. Twenty-three years ago they moved into this vicinity onto their present farm southwest of Spencer. Three years ago she was operated on for a tumor at the Mayo Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Her health was poor ever since. On the 24th of November a paralytic stroke made her helpless. A second stroke followed six days later, and early Friday morning, Dec. 5th, 1924 her journey ended at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 3 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, the only daughter Leta, Mrs. H. Krahn, 3 sisters, 1 brother and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Schaller home Monday, Dec. 8th, Rev. E. F. Eske officiating. Interment was made in the Spencer Cemetery.
