Protecting Kid’s Noggins (2022)
Corporal Ben Zawislan is shown with newly-purchased bike helmets for the
Neillsville Police Department’s bike helmet program. The Neillsville Public
Library received a donation and Chief of Police Jim Mankowski also chipped in to
purchase the helmets for distribution in this area. Local police will issue the
helmets to kids who are riding bikes without a helmet and need one. Kids caught
riding with helmets are subject to being issued the ice cream tickets that can
be cashed in for a sweet treat. Submitted photo
