Lindow, Sylvina (March 27, 1861-Dec. 31, 1944)

Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvina Lindow, 83, who died Sunday morning at 10:30 o’clock, were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home of her son, Luther, and at 2 o’clock at Immanuel Evangelical church, Chili, with burial in the Evangelical cemetery.

Three musical selections were sung by Miss Elvira Lindow, Mrs. W. G. Lindow, Charles Lindow, and Henry Nebel, and the pastor, the rev. S. A. Gutknecht, officiated at the rites. In addition to the floral tributes from various people, money was given by friends from Osseo to be used for some church purpose.

Mrs. Sylvina Lindow, nee binder, was born in Calumet County, Town of Woodville, March 27, 1861, and was married to William Lindow Dec. 1, 1880. The same year the Lindows came to Clark County, settling on timbered land, 2 1/2 miles southeast of Chili.

In 1921 they moved to Chili, where Mrs. Lindow lived continuously until about the past two years, which she spent with here children, Mr. Lindow died in 1936.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Carl (Mabel) Happe, Osseo, and Luther Lindow, Chili, and two grandchildren. Five sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Mrs. Lindow was a member of the Evangelical Church and of its Ladies Aid and Missionary Societies.
