Franke, George W. (27 Mar 1919 - 1 OCT 1928)

George Woodrow Franke died at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield on Oct. 1, 1928 at 1:30 P. M., after an operation for appendicitis which was followed by pneumonia.

He was born on March 27, 1919 ay Minneapolis, Minn. During the past four years he had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Gust Piekola in the Town of Beaver.

His parents are living, the father left the family some years ago and the mother is at present under treatment at the State Hospital at Rochester, Minn. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Carin and Theodore of Minneapolis, Wimer of Brainard, Minn. and Ingrid who is with Mr. and Mrs. Gust Piekola in the Town of Beaver.

One brother, Gilbert, preceded him in death two years ago.

The funeral was held Thursday P.M., Oct. 4th, at the Beaver Town Hall, Pastor M. K. Aaberg of Greenwood officiating. Burial took place in the Beaver cemetery, where he was laid to rest by the side of his brother. The fourth grade class of the Beaver school, of which he was a member, carried flowers and the upper grade boys acted as pallbearers.
