Allard, Arthur (15 MAY 1884 - Dec 1925)

Mrs. Henry Selden sent the following obituary to Mrs. Burns and as Arthur Allard was born and raised in Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., and is well known to the older residents, and is a cousin to the Marcotes, Mrs. Wm. Miller, and Mrs. Felix Sharrow, we are publishing it in full. Arthur's home is at Fond du Lac.

"A month's illness from blood poisoning resulting from an abscess and carbuncle proved fatal Thursday night to Arthur J. Allard, age 41, father of eight children and an employee of the Galloway-West company for the past years. His death occurred at 7 p.m. at St. Agnes hospital.

The deceased was born at Dorchester on May 15, 1884. He was married to Miss Mae Paquin in this city on May 22, 1906.

Surviving Mr. Allard are his widow, his children, Marie, age 18, Eva and Iva, twins, 15, Arthur, 13, Ruth, 11, Clayton, 10, Marguerite, 8, and Florence, 10 months; and two sisters, Mrs. A. J. L. Roy, and Mrs. Henry Selden of this city.

The body was taken to the Zacheri Funeral Home and today was removed to the family residence, 432 West Division St. The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from St. Louis Church. The Rev. J. H. Racette, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery."

This was my grandfather.My father was Arthur C. Allard (July 8 1912-Oct 30 !969).I'm a Jr.(Jun 22 1944)and only child.My father's brother and all of his sisters have passed away.My mother Elizabeth May(Davis)Allard (May 1 1925) just passed away in March of 2008.
