Froeba, Diana (23 MAR 1940 - 19 Jan 2005)

Diana Froeba, 64, Spencer, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she was admitted on Monday, Jan. 10, 2005. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 22, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were Doug Nacker, David Clintsman Jr., Jesse Clintsman, Westley Froeba, Brandon Jacobson, and Tyler Balcom. Honorary pallbearer was Danzic Balcom.

Diana Mae Clouse was born on Mach 23, 1940, in Loyal, to Elmer and Rita [nee Schlieve] Clouse. She attended school at St. Anthony’s Catholic School and graduated from Loyal High School in 1958. She married Herbert Froeba on Nov. 22, 1958 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. She raised her family and worked part time at various places. She retired from Land O’Lakes, Spencer, after 30 years. She loved visiting casinos, shopping, traveling, fishing and bird watching. She loved her family and also her cat, Sammy. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, and Loyal American Legion Auxiliary.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Sue [Jim] Jacobson, Loyal, Sherry [Dave] Clintsman, Loyal, and Stacey [Lance] Balcom, Pittsville; her sons, Ray [Tina] Froeba, Wisconsin Rapids, and Bob [Joann] Froeba, Greenwood; 12 grandchildren, Brandon Jacobson, Tyler Jacobson, Westley Froeba, Charley Froeba, Doug Nacker, Brook Froeba, Dezerae Balcom, Danzic Balcom, Dave Clintsman Jr., Jesse Clintsman, Angie Clintsman, and Andrea Clintsman; three great-grandchildren, Evan Nacker, Trenton Nacker, and Alyssa Clintsman; three brothers, Wayne Clouse, Neillsville, Thomas Clouse, Rockford, Ill., and Elmer Clouse, Madison; one sister, Diane [Bob] Koester, Milwaukee; and her good friend, Sharon Kenyon, Spencer.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her stepfather, Lawrence, Lawrence Domine; and her husband, Herbert Froeba, on March 13, 1998.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, is assisting the family with arrangements.
