Schlinsog, Fred (1 Aug. 1891 - 3 Sept. 1932)

Fred Schlinsog, who was instantly killed Saturday evening, Sept. 3, by being struck by an automobile north of this city, was born in the town of Grant, August 1, 1891. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schlinsog, early settlers of Grant. He lived for a good many years on the home farm, but later worked here and there as a laborer. He was a man of many fine traits of character, being industrious and competent in his work. He had a rare taste for flowers and other things of beauty and took delight in helping in such things at places where he worked.

He never married. He leaves four bothers: Carl of Chili; Henry and Herman of Granton, and William of the town of mead; also four sisters: Mrs. Laura Beil, Chili; Mrs. Bertha Keller, Abbotsford, Mrs. Anna Guk, Granton; Mrs. Emma McKeand, Chicago.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Lowe’s Funeral home, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
