Spry, Hildegarde Augusta (6 Aug. 1899 - 27 Sept. 1932)

Mrs. Lloyd L. Spry of Granton passed from this life at Lutheran Hospital in Eau Claire where she had been taken for a surgical operation, at 2:05 o'clock a.m. Sept. 27, 1932.

Mrs. Spry, whose maiden name was Hildegarde Augusta Prange, was born at Sheboygan Falls, Wis., Aug. 6, 1899, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Prange. She attended school in Sheboygan Falls.

In 1915 the family moved to Clark County. For a time she was employed in a store in Granton.

October 30, 1921, she was married to Lloyd L. Spry, and they have made their home in that village most of the time since.

She was a woman of who was devoted to the interests of her home and family, but also took a kindly interested in all about her and had a circle of admiring friends. Her death was a sad blow, not only to her home but to the entire community. She is survived by her husband and four children: Marion, Ruth, Robert and Bonnie Rae -- the oldest 9 years of ages, the youngest a year old. She leaves also her parents: Mrs. Edna Anderson, Bernard Prange, Alma Prange, Herbert Prange, brothers and sisters.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the home and Granton Opera House, Rev. Bennetts officiating. A very large gathering of friends and neighbors were in attendance, showing the love and esteem in which Mrs. Spry was held. The pallbearers were Henry Helm, Arch Wanless, Mike Zahradke, Roland Quicker, William Billman and Ewald Thiede.

Those from away attending the funeral were: Mrs. Austin Anderson, Miss Alma Prange, Mrs. A. Hackbarth of Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. E. Prange and son Ewald, Mr. and Mrs. R. Prange, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Beck, Mrs. E. Ohteer, Mrs. Art Prange, and Mrs. R. Bistier, Mr. and Mrs. A. Buss, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schneider, all of Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Radke of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roehl of Almond, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Barett, and Miss Bernice Smith of Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Art Klemmer, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Herdrick, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Deets, Mr. and Mrs. Omar Deets, of Loyal, Wis.
