KIP R SCHLINSOG

Kip Robert Schlinsog, age 50, of Granton passed away Sat. Feb. 1, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Kip was born April 24, 1952 to Robert and Kathryn (Neitzer) Schlinsog in Neillsville. He attended Granton Grade School and graduated from Granton High School in 1971. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971.

On Feb. 15, 1980 he married Joan Horehled at the Pine Valley Lutheran Church. Kip farmed in the Town of Grant and drove truck for Lynn Protein and for Hamel Forest Products. In June 1996, Kip started his own trucking business, Kip's Trucking.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton. He loved visiting with friends.

Surviving Kip is his wife Joan; his children, Michael (Ingrid Thompson) Schlinsog of Osseo, Clint (Susan) Schlinsog of Marshfield, Ronda Schlinsog of LaCrosse and Megan Schlinsog of Granton; grandchildren Chazz, Cody, Mercedes, Jordan and Cole; his mother Kathryn and his sister Betty (Robert) Scheel, both of Granton.

Preceding Kip in death are his father and his daughter April Ann on Oct. 28, 1979.

Funeral services for Kip were Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton. Rev. John Trewyn officiated, with Carolyn Helm organist providing the music. Burial was in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Honorary casket bearers were Andy Novakovic and Bill Dahlke. Pallbearers were Sam Bohy, Bernie Pilsner, Dan Herman, Leonard Rizert, Ronnie Garbisch, Gary Bartz, Rick Overman and Keith Bass.

Buchanan Funeral Home of Neillsville assisted Kip's family with arrangements.
