Hanson, Alma Pauline (22 Oct. 1913 - 31 May 2004)

STOUGHTON - Alma Pauline Hanson, age 90, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2004, at Skaalen Home in Stoughton. She was born on Oct. 22, 1913, in McFarland, a daughter of the late Martin and Sarah (Gausman) Anderson. Alma was united in marriage to Milo Hanson on March 10, 1937, in the McFarland Lutheran Church Parsonage.

Together the couple farmed in the Cottage Grove area from 1951 until 1956, staying on the farm until 1960. Alma worked at the McFarland Restaurant. Alma and Milo then resided in Neillsville, where they owned and operated the White Horse Inn Supper Club. They moved to Stoughton in 1970. Alma was a member of McFarland Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Roseanne) Hanson of Stoughton; grandchildren, Terri, Dale, Joe, Kathy, Eric and Sheila; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo; her parents; a daughter, Jane (Roger) Natvig; a sister, Florence Brown; and a brother, Ray Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2004, at SKAALEN HOME CHAPEL, 400 N. Morris St., Stoughton. The Rev. James Koza will officiate.

Burial will be at Upper McFarland Cemetery. Friends May greet the family from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
