Christman, Elizabeth B. (26 JUN 1895 - 23 Sep 1929)

Elizabeth Belle Raab Christman was born June 26, 1895 at Greenville, Indiana and died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on September 23, 1929, at the age of 34 years, 2 months and 23 days.

At the age of 13 years she came to his village with her mother and has since resided here. On October 17, 1913 she was married to Pete J. Christman to which union nine children were born.

Mrs. Christman was a devoted wife and mother and a good neighbor and friend. She was always ready to help any one in time of need and took a great interest in her home and children. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and nine children, Baulus, Caroline, Peter, Johnnie, Joseph, Anthony, Michael, Gilbert and Mary Jane; her parents, one sister and two brothers and a host of friends and relatives.

The funeral was held from St. Balthasar’s Catholic Church on Thursday Sept. 26th at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Joseph F. Stenz officiating. Internment was made in the Catholic cemetery.

The pall bearers were Alfred Haas, William Theisen, Ed Bertz, Will Murphy, Joe Wedl, and Chas Thums. The floral offerings were many and beautiful and were greatly appreciated.

Those who attended the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. John Kaarup, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Stoker, Marshfield: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Raab, Arkansaaw Wis., Mr. Philip Christman, Sr. of Tony; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Emerson and family of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. L. Rondorf of Tony, Wis.

The Tribune joins the many friends of the bereaved family in offering their sympathy.
