Smock, Sandra Lee (8 July 1947 - 17 April 2005)

NEILLSVILLE -Sandy Smock, age 57, of Neillsville, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Funeral services for Sandy will be held at 8 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2005, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. James Mohr will officiate. Music will be provided by Eileen Zank, organist, and Corrine Armitage, soloist. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home.

Honorary casket bearers are Dr. Tim Shaw, Dr. Guillermo Gonzalez, Jeff Gurney, Dusty Langreck, Donna Seelow, Delilah Seelow, Chad Husman, Jim Schultz, Glen Grady, Tom Silbernagel and Dennis Koula.

Sandra Lee Smock was born on July 8, 1947, in Neillsville, the daughter of Robert and Betty Jane (Evans) Free. She attended Neillsville High School and graduated in 1965. She then moved to Oshkosh and worked for the Coca-Cola Co. It was there that she met Michael Smock. They were united in marriage in June of 1968. From Oshkosh they moved to Oconto and eventually to Neillsville. Sandy waitressed for many years at the White Horse Restaurant, and for the past several years she had been the manager at the Allied Health Clinic in downtown Neillsville.

Sandy was a member of the United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Job's Daughters and a Bethel Guardian for Job's Daughters and she was a Campfire Girls leader.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; one daughter, Mandy (Ron) Krejci of Neillsville; one son, Thomas of Kimberly; two grandchildren, Derek and Sabrina Krejci of Neillsville; two sisters, Cindy (Melvin) Boon of Neillsville and Lori (John) Schneider of Greenwood; and one brother, Thomas (Konnie) Free of Menasha. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Angela and Jason Boon and Ethan, Whitney and Tanner Free.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty Free.
