Kurth, Raymond (28 NOV 1913 - 17 Augl 1977)

Granton, Clark County, Wis. - Raymond Kurth, 63, Route 1, Granton, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion American Lutheran Church, Town of Granton. The Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state from 2-9 p.m. Friday at Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton and until noon Saturday at the church.

Mr. Kurth was born Nov. 28, 1913 in the Town of Grant, Clark County. He received his education in the Town of Grant and at Neillsville High school. He married Verna Goebel Sept. 27, 1941 in Granton.

He lived on a farm in the Town of Grant and was employed in road construction work since 1940. Mr. Kurth was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow; three sons, Wayne of Neillsville, Glen of Marshfield and Michael of Granton; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Sandra) Newman of Watertown and Sharon Sarow of Brookfield; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Irene) Tifft and Mrs. Norma Klingsporn, both of St. Paul, Minn.; and 11 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one sister.
