Hagelschur, Barbara J. (20 Aug. 1902 - 29 Jan. 2005)

Barbara J. Hagelschur, 102, of Marshfield died on Jan. 29, 2005, in the morning at Marshfield Center, where she had lived since June 5, 2001.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Manickam. Suzanne Golden will be the organist for John F. Binder and James W. Eckes, vocalists. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, Dorchester.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church. Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1902, in St. George, Minn., to Anton and Anna (Jaeckels) Hagelschur. Barbara worked as a seamstress for many years at Johnson Garment Company in Marshfield. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis and the Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, bingo and being with people and helping anyway she could.

She is survived by her nieces Dorothy Betzner of Edgar, Verjean (Tom) Steiner of Wausau, Mary (Tom) Stack of Stratford, Barb (Romie) Schoenfuss of Stratford and Jeanette (Ted) Schoenherr of Mosinee. Barbara is further survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and two brothers.
