Jahnke, Judy S. (28 Aug. 1955 - 1 Dec. 2004)

Judy S. Jahnke, 49, 6201 Iron Bridge Road, Athens, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis.

She was born Aug. 28, 1955, in Dorchester, daughter of Bryce and Marlene (Schumacher) Hinke. In 1994 she married David Jahnke in Wausau. He survives.

For many years, Judy assisted her husband as secretary of Jahnke Construction Co. Among her favorite things to do were spending time outdoors, especially at their cottage at Spirit Lake, planting and tending her flowers, as well as her pets. She also enjoyed shopping with her girlfriends and family, and cooking for family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, David Jahnke, Athens; her parents, Bryce and Marlene Hinke, Medford; a stepson, Ben Jahnke, Athens; a brother, Kenneth (Karen) Hinke, Medford; her mother- and father-in-law, Daniel and Florence Jahnke, Milan; three nephews, Randall (Ginny) Hinke, Eau Claire, Mikal (Summer) Hinke, Stetsonville, and Matthew Hinke, Superior; her special pets, Teddy, Raggs and Rambo; as well as many relatives and friends.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the Milan Cemetery.

Friends May call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, and again from noon until the time of services Saturday at the church. There will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. today at the Athens funeral home.
