Ira Baldwin, one of the oldest residents of Neillsville, died at his home on the north side Sunday, Sept. 3, aged nearly 85 years.

He was born in Iowa, Sept. 30, 1848, and grew to manhood there, coming to Neillsville about 60 years ago. He was married to Clara mason who survives him.

During all his life here he followed house painting and upholstering and was an expert and faithful workman at both of these trades.

He leaves also three half brothers: George, Howard and Gene Flick and two half sisters, Vernie and Jessie.

The funeral will be held at two o’clock Wednesday at Schiller’s Funeral home, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
