Miller, Anna (24 MAY 1857 - 8 May 1930)

Anna nee Domer was born in Manitowoc County, Wis., on the 24th day of May, in the year 1857. In early infancy she was baptized and later instructed and confirmed. On the 14th day of Nov. 1879 she was united in marriage to William Miller, which union was blessed with five children. On the 16th day of Oct. 1911 her husband preceded her to eternity. She remained on the farm and made her home with her children. She was a charter member of St. John’s Ev. Luth. Church at Riplinger, as also a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society. She will be remembered by all that knew her as an industrious woman, a kind and loving neighbor, who lived a long and useful life. Last winter her health began to fail, suffering from heart trouble and was confined to her bed only about ten days when the end came. On Thursday morning she yet partook of Holy Communion and at 8:oo P.M. that same evening she was called from this world of tears to a better world as we have all reason to believe; that making her age 72 yrs. 11 mo. and 14 days. The deceased now leaves to mourn, her sorrowing children, namely, Louis Miller, William Miller, Henry Miller, George Miller, all of the Town of Unity and Mrs. Marie Helmke of Stratford. Also two brothers, Wm. Domer of Unity and Henry Domer of Oshkosh, also seven grandchildren besides numerous relatives and a host of friends who have our hearts sympathy in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held Sunday May 11th. 1:00 P.M. from the house and at 1:45 P.M. at St. John’s Luth. Church at Riplinger. Rev. H. F. Leschensky, officiating. Burial was made at St. John’s Luth. Cemetery near Unity.

Those who attended the funeral from away were as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Domer, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Domer of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kappleman, Mrs. Louis Medans and Henry Kappleman of Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Domer, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Domer of Eau Claire, Carl Domer of Hiles, Mr. Emil Meyers and Mr. and Mrs. George Orth of Abbotsford.
