Darlene Barbara Arthur was born on Sept. 4, 1941, in Chippewa Falls, to Minor and Thelma (nee Berger) Arthur. While she was a young child, her family moved to Portland, Ore., and lived there until moving to Tigerton in 1945. In 1947 the family then relocated to Wittenberg, where she was raised and received most of her education. Her family moved to Fond du Lac, where she completed her senior year of high school and graduated. She moved to Union Grove and worked at the Southern Wisconsin Center as an aide for the mentally challenged. She married Jon "Terry" Schultz in Waukegan, Ill., on April 25, 1964. They resided in Union Grove. She later worked for Racine County as a teacher’s assistant, also for the mentally challenged. She retired in 1986. They moved to Willard in 1988, and purchased a home on Mead Lake. She resided there until the time of her death. She served as the head organizer for the Special Olympics, in southeast Wisconsin, for several years, was the secretary for the Southern Wisconsin Center Union for a couple of years, and had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family, bowling, crafts, quilting, making lampshades, gardening and ceramics.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Terry, Willard; one son, Robbie (Ann) Schultz, Union Grove; one daughter, Terri (Jeff) Servais, New Berlin; four grandchildren, Carrie Schultz, Michael Schultz, Maxwell Servais and Hunter Servais; one brother, Dale (Nona) Arthur, Tomahawk; and two sisters, Adelle (Ray) Klappa, Erie Pa., and Arla Krug, Fond du Lac.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Minor Arthur lll, in infancy; and one brother-in-law, Robert Krug.
