Jensen, Christana (23 Mar. 1846 - *19 May 1934)* Could be off

Mrs. Christana Jensen, 88, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Garbisch, Saturday 11 o’clock a.m. She had been ailing ever since she fell and broke her leg in Feb.

Mrs. Jensen was born March 23, 1846 at Schlewig Holstein, Germany, and was also married in Germany to Peter Jensen in 1865. Soon after their marriage this came to America, living in N. Y., a few years. Then in Calumet County, Wis. Later coming to Clark County, settling on a tract of land in Lynn which they cleared and made a nice farm of it. To this union 6 children were born. Anna, Mrs. Konrad, Lynn; Emma, Mrs. Henry Ebbe of Wis. Rapids; Bertha, Mrs. Arthur Garbisch and Mrs. Mary Kleinsmith and Herman and Henry Jensen of Lynn. In 1915 they celebrated their golden wedding. She was a good neighbor. Her husband proceeded in her death eight years ago.

She leaves to mourn her departure her four daughters, MRs. Anna Konrad, Mrs. Henry Ebbe, Mrs. Arthur Garbisch, Mrs. Mary Kleinsmith and two sons Herman and Henry. And 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Garbisch. Rev. P. B. White of Neillsville officiating, interment at the Lynn Cemetery. Schiller had charge of the funeral. Pallbearers were Leo Sternitzky, Alfred Riedal, Edwin Barth, Alvin Voelker and Arthur and Ed. Kleinsmith.
