Alvord H. Selk, 49, route 2, Spencer, died of complications today in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He had been in ill health for the past year.

Services will be conducted at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili. Burial will be made in St. Stephen’s cemetery.

Mr. Selk was born Dec. 13, 1917, at Chili, and received his education there. His marriage to Mable Ver Hagen took place April 4, 1940, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church at Chili. After their marriage, the couple made its home in the Chili area where Mr. Selk was engaged in farming.

In addition to his wife, survivors are a son, Alvord A. Selk, his mother, Mrs. Effie Selk, and two granddaughters all of Chili. His father preceded him in death.
