Walsh, Anna (6 JUN 1849 - 20 May 1884)

Died, at her home in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., on Friday, May 30th, of liver and stomach difficulties, Anna, beloved wife of Oliver Walsh, in the 35th year of her age.

Mrs. Walsh, whose maiden name was Anna Morgan, was born in Kenosha, Wis., on the 6th day of June, 1849. At the age of seven years she removed with her parents to Marquette Co., near Montello, where she was united in marriage, on the 8th day of Feb., 1866, with the husband who now mourns her loss. In Dec. 1873, Mr. and Mrs. Walsh came to this place (Colby, Wis.) and settled on the farm, where she died, one mile and a half east of the village.

Mrs. Walsh has been a patient, uncomplaining sufferer, for the last year and a half or two years, from the complications of diseases that caused her death, she was a devoted and conscientious Catholic, was well liked and respected by all who knew her, as was evidenced by the large number of people who visited the residence and escorted the remains to the depot, notwithstanding the rainy and threatening weather.

The remains were taken to Montello, Saturday, where they were interred according to the Catholic rites of burial.

Deceased leaves a husband and two daughters to mourn her loss, besides other relatives and a large number of friends.

On the request of the family, a post-mortem examination was made by Dr. James Grivelly, when it was found that every vital organ was diseased, especially the liver, stomach and kidneys.

The entire community unites in extending their sympathies to the bereaved ones.
