Piekarz, Ida (29 JUN 1905 - 9 Feb 1931)

Mrs. Ida Piekarz, wife of Mr. Frank Piekarz of the town of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., died at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield on Monday, Feb. 9th, 1931, after an illness of about four months. The cause of death, epithelia, consisting of a cancerous condition of the cheek bone. Deceased was born at Milwaukee on June 29, 1905, and came to Thorp with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Osowski, the same year. On Oct. 29, 1928, she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Piekarz, who is left to mourn her untimely death. Deceased also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Osowski, five brothers, Vincent, Casimer and John of Thorp; Louis of Chicago; and Frank of Milwaukee, and five sisters, Anna and Clara of Thorp, Mrs. Helen Kotecki of Milwaukee, Mrs. Rose Balicki and Mrs. Marie Donash of Chicago.

The funeral took place on Friday Feb. 13th, at St. Hedwig’s Church, Rev. F. A. Kulig officiating, interment following the services in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Two nieces of deceased, Florence and Regina Kotecki, had charge of the flowers.

The pallbearers were John Wegner, Anton Przybylski, Frank Wnek, John Tomkowiak, Adam Szerlong and Ed Sniegowski.

Relatives attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kotecki and daughters, Cecelia, Florence, Regina and Dorothy, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Osowski of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Osowski and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Balicki and son Eugene, and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Donash and daughters, Alice and Ruth, of Chicago; and Mrs. John Piekarz and children of Chicago; Mrs. John Fritsch and son Lawrence of Spencer, Wis.
