Re: Obit: Ostenson, Melvin (1890 - 1959)

Melvin was my grandpa. He used to sit in his double seat wooden swing that was chained to a tree branch in his back yard and smoke a pipe and listen to baseball on the radio. We would sit next to him and want to swing really fast but knew that he would not want to do the same. He would 'go to town' and buy us cho-chos (a frozen ice cream treat). He had a big doberman type dog named Mike who was blind in one eye because a neighbor man had shot at him. Grandpa had thick curly gray hair.
