St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at North Green Grove was the setting for a wedding of Miss Judith Knecht and Carl Haemer, both of Milwaukee, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9. The Rev. Arthur Rasch officiated and Mrs. Vernon Boss was organist.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton R. Knecht, Milwaukee, former rural Owen residents, was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Haemer of Curtiss.

Her A-line cotton ottoman dress had venise lace accents and a train and was worn with a matching veil of flowers of Venetian lace centered with pearls. She carried an arrangement of red and pink roses with pink rose streamers.

Pink roses were in the aides bouquets also. Serving the couple as groomsmen and bridesmaids were Mike Buss, Curtiss; and Miss Janet Haemer, Owen, and Terry Graham, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Paulette Schmitt, Marshfield. Carlin Koffarnus of Curtiss was best man and Miss Janet Makovec of Owen was maid of honor.

After a wedding trip of two weeks through western states, Mr. and Mrs. Haemer will reside at 7177 W. Appleton Ave., Milwaukee.

Mrs. Haemer is employed there as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and her husband is a carpenter for Chamberlin Co. in Wauwatosa.
