Witt, James R. (19 OCT 1922 - 27 AUG 1932)

James Raymond Witt, the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. August Witt, was born on the Town of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., on the 19th day of October 1922. On the 19th day of Nov. 1922, he was baptized in the name of the Triune God by the Rev. Pohlman. When nearly tw0 years of age, the deceased had the misfortune of falling from a porch thereby injuring his spine, from which he developed Sugar diabetes. From this disease he suffered three severe attacks in his life. One at the age of two, another at the age of five, which disabled him from walking for eight months and the final attack last Saturday morning which caused his death. The deceased was a member of the local Sunday School and for three years attended the Loyal Public School. On Sunday morning at 6 A. M. God in his wise providence relieved him of all suffering by calling him out of this vale of tears to a better world as we have all reason to believe. The deceased attained the age of 9 years, 10 months and 2 days. He now leaves to mourn his sorrowing parents, who lovingly cared for him and will certainly miss him as also three sisters and one brother, namely Mrs. Alma Paepke of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ella Zuege of Loyal, Miss Agnes Witt of Loyal, also one Grand parent, Mrs. Wilhelmine Degen of Loyal, besides numerous other relatives and a host of friends who have our hearts sympathy in their bereavement.

The funeral took place on August 24th, 1:30 P.M. at the home and 2 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial took place in the Union Cemetery.

Those from away who attended the funeral included his sister, Mrs. Alma Paepke of Milwaukee; Mrs. Frank Degen, Misses Alva and Lila Degen of West Allis; Mr. Harold Vick of Wauwautosa; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kusa of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kienow, Misses Irma and Elsie Kisnow of Wausau, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Haslow of Spencer.
