Oldham, Dorothy May (13 April 1921 - 7 June 1998)

Dorothy Oldham, age 77, of Neillsville, Wis. died Sunday, June 7, 1998 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

Dorothy May Oldham was born on April 13, 1921 in Weston Township, Wis. the daughter of Leonard J. and Ethel M. (Brown) Boon. She attended the Forman School in Christie, Wis. and then was united in marriage to Ray Oldham on June 22, 1939. After their marriage, they farmed and raised a family. Dorothy was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Christie and enjoyed making Quilts and collecting salt and peppershakers.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; three daughters; Erdine (Earl) Payne, Mary Ann (Robert) Langreck and Linda (Larry) Polzin, all of Neillsville; six sons; James (Dorothy) Oldham of Bonifay, FL, Gale (Joyce) Oldham of MO, Jack Oldham, and Dennis (Linda) Oldham of Neillsville, Eugene (Julia) Oldham of Bonifay, FL., and Leroy Oldham of Neillsville. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one sister, Florence Zais of Eau Claire, WI; three brothers; Alfred (Lucille) Boon of Neillsville, Clayton and Floyd Boon, both of Greenwood, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Dorothy in death are her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 9 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 1998 at the Gesche Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Bjerke officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gesche Funeral Home.
