Perushek, Anne T. (3 NOV 1921 - 29 OCT 2002)

Anne T. Perushek, 80, Chicago, died on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at the Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Park Ridge, Ill. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Music was provided by the Holy Family Church Choir. The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated. Burial was in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, with military rites accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council. Pallbearers were John Perushek, Val Krainz, Ed Bayuk, Joe Tolaney, Richie Verschay and Ed Gorski.

Anne Theresa Perushek was born on Nov. 3, 1921, in Willard, Clark County, Wis., to Ludwig and Pauline (nee Stupica) Perushek. She attended Blackberry Grade School in the town of Seif and graduated from Neillsville High School. She then worked for the clerk of circuit court for three years before enlisting into the U.S. Marines and serving during World War II. Upon her discharge from the service, she moved to Chicago where she worked as a secretary for the Kemper Insurance Co., until her retirement. Her interests included attending Chicago Cubs games at Wrigley Field and supporting the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include one brother, Tony (Jeanette) Perushek, Neillsville; one brother-in-law, Albert Volk, Neillsville; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Mary Shumate, Pauline Volk and Angeline Schultz; and four brothers, Ludwig Perushek, Frank Perushek, Charles Perushek and Joe Perushek.

The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
