Marsh, Mattie (? - 30 Oct 1916)

On Monday, Oct. 30, 1916, J.F. Schuster received a telegram from Kirkland, Wash., notifying him of the death of his sister, Mattie, Mrs. Ludwig H. Marsh. The news of this death will bring sincere sorrow to old Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. friends of the deceased. Mrs. Marsh came to Clark County with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schuster in 1871; the family lived in the town of Washburn two years and then moved to Neillsville, she being eleven years of age. Her she attended school and grew to womanhood and in 1890 was married to L.H. Marsh. Thirteen years ago they went to California, where they lived eight months, and then moved to Kirkland, Wash., near Seattle, which has been their home since. For the past few years her health has been poor, tuberculosis in a slow form taking a strong hold on her.

She was a woman of rare sweetness of disposition. She had a keen appreciation for the best things of life and some way gave to all who knew her, a sense of high worth. She leaves her husband, two sons, Louis, and Phillip, now young men, her mother, two sisters, Mrs. H.E. Peters and Mrs. Bury, two brothers, J.F. Schuster and Herman Schuster, Jr., all except J.F. Schuster living at Kirkland.
