100 YEARS AGO...

Charley Vetterkind raised his barn Monday.

J. Asselin’s house frame was erected last week.

M&M Jas. Boylan had a son on June 30th.

John Roth sold his home to Mike Zaborowski.

M&M W. Vandusen had a son on June 30th.

Marriage license has issued to Wincenta Egonoski and Katie Lisnewski.

Hixon Mead and Edna Bown were wed on Wednesday in Longwood.

Wm. Sattler leased a commercial house from Geo. Banderob and is managing that popular hostelry.

W.R. McCutcheon sold the Kubera farm north of Frank Hedler’s farm to M. Gengler.

C. Buchlman has made arrangements with V. Fellows and will take charge of the brickyard and start manufacturing brick.

Louis Johnson is selling out his entire shoe stock because he is leaving town.

B.J. Brown bought Louis Johnson’s residence and a couple lots.

Herman Friess is shipping a car load of livestock every Sunday morning. One load was a cow that weighed 1490 pounds which he purchased from L.O. Garrison.

Mrs. J.F. Stone, an aunt of Mrs. W.R. McCutcheon, died in Eau Claire.

M&M Julius Rasmussen’s daughter, age 20 months, died June 26th.

Rev. Jas. Biela, who was in charge of the Catholic Church and Polish Catholic Church, left for Ponitowski where he will take charge of a parish. Rev. Father Orlik of Buffalo, NY, arrived here and will take charge of St. Hedwig’s Polish church.

75 YEARS AGO...

Lodean Mayenschien and Walter Culp were wed on Saturday in Thorp.

Bethelva Gibbs and Carl Brandt were wed on June 16th in Worden.

Adam Adler died June 29th in Gilman.

Jacob Schmidt is building a residence that is 2 stories high, near his old home.

Dr. W. F. Nolechek will leave for 2 weeks to Fort Sheridan.

Joe Novrotil has found dead in bed on Sunday.

Wallace J. Landry graduated from UW.

Vernie Przybylski and Frank L. Kotecki were wed June 22nd at St. Hedwigs.

Hilda Walter and John L. Kenney were wed June 29th.

Viola Niekisch and John Verderyst were wed June 16th in St. Paul.

50 YEARS AGO...

Pat Kenney was named governor of the Badger Girls State on the UW-Madison.

Mr & Mrs. Edward Stroinski had a daughter on June 23rd.

Mr & Mrs. Vincent Wagener had a daughter.

Mr & Mrs. John Mizerka, formerly Miss Gunia, were wed on June 9th and are honeymooning in Canada.

Agnes Lilly Posda of Stanley and Nicholas Skwierczynski Jr of Chicago, were wed June 23rd by Rev. Jos. Walijewski at St. Hedwigs.

25 YEARS AGO...

Alma Coates, age 83, died June 24th.

Beverly Hein, age 42, died Jun 21st in Minneapolis.

10 YEARS AGO...

Alois Ciolkosz, age 75, died June 27th at Victory Memorial.

Agneline (Nellie) Czyzewicz, age 89, died June 29th.

Florian Lisiecki, age 94, died July 1st.

Phillip Mattes barn was partially destroyed by fire on June 25th.

Brenda and Chris Alger had a son on June 30th.

John Krupa, age 80 of Cornell, died June 28th.
