Schmillen, Anna C. (Marriage - 10 NOV 1915)

Mr. Isaac B. La Gasse, formerly of this place (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), and Miss Anna Cecelia Schmillen of St. James, Minn., were united in marriage at the latter city on Nov. 10, 1915. The groom's many friends here tender their most hearty congratulations. The following item regarding the happy event is taken from the St. James Independent:

"Yesterday morning at 11 o'clock Rev. J. Meyers united in marriage Miss Anna Caroline Schmillen and Mr. I. B. La Gasse, both of this city. The wedding was a quiet affair and took place at the parsonage. The young people departed on the afternoon train for points in Wisconsin, where they will visit the groom's parents and other relatives.

The bride is a popular young lady who has grown to womanhood among the people of St. James and enjoys the respect and high esteem of a great circle of friends, while the groom has held a position in the Lawrence barbershop here for the past two and a half years and has been prominent in the presentation of many successful home talent plays, in which he has proven himself an artist of rare good ability, and he, too, is held in high esteem by all who have enjoyed his acquaintance.

Following a brief visit with Wisconsin relatives, the happy couple will return to St. James to make their home, and here they will be surrounded by hosts of friends who will shower upon them the choicest blessings and extend most hearty and sincere congratulations."
