Lindeman, Henry (1 JAN 1862 - 2 May 1917)

Henry Lindeman, a former resident here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), died at his home near New Richmond, Wis., on Wednesday, May 2, 1917, of heart trouble. Mr. Lindeman had retired the evening previous in apparent good health and the summons came quite suddenly. He was born at Kiel, Wis., on Jan. 1, 1862, and came here with his parents in the early eighties and assisted in clearing a farm in the town of Reseberg, which he in after years sold to Alvin Truckey. For a number of years he was employed as head sawyer in Nye, Lusk & Hudson Co.'s sawmills here and at Eidsvold, after which he went to Park Falls where he was employed in a similar capacity for several eyars in the Roddis sawmill. About three eyars ago he purchased a small farm near New Richmond, where he has since resided. While a resident here he joined the local Masonic Lodge, but later became a charter member of the lodge at Park Falls.

The remains arrived here at noon on Saturday and were met by the members of Thorp Lodge F. & A.M. and taken to the Odd Fellows Hall. At two o'clock Masonic services, J. W. Watson of Chippewa Falls, acting as Master, were conducted, burial taking place in the Thorp Village Cemetery. A large number of old friends and acquaintances of deceased attended. Mr. Lindeman was a man, good, true and faithful to every trust place in him. He leaves his wife, his aged mother, two sisters, the former two, Mrs. Daniel Lindeman and Mrs. N. E. Wagner, residing at Adrian, Mich., and the latter, Mrs. Ferd. Schultz, at Waupun, Wis.
