Zachow, Karoline W. B. (11 OCT 1890 - 1 OCT 1917)

Miss Karoline Wilhelmine B. Zachow, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zachow, died at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), of consumption, on Monday morning, Oct. 1, 1917. She was born in the town of Worden on Oct. 11, 1890, and came here with her parents a few years later, where she has since made her home. Apparently never enjoying the best of health, she was taken quite ill in April last, since which time she has rapidly decline and though a patient sufferer, passed peacefully away as above state. The funeral will take place this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock from the M. E. Church, Rev. H. Laabs officiating. Both her parents died in recent eyars, one sister, Adelia Zachow, and one brother, Charley Zachow, survive to mourn her untimely demise. Interment took place in the family lot of the Thorp Village Cemetery.

Thank you for this posting. I have been looking for this family - the family of Adelia Zachow. I found an ornate parchment of her birth in a trunk of old family papers and I have no idea why it was there. She was born in Thorp, and the document found in northern Alberta. My ancestors came from Stearns and Sherburne Co. MN. Please contact me if you know about this family or their descendants. Terry
